Meditation

The practice of yoga focuses a lot on mindfulness and taking time to recognize how your mind, body, and spirit feel. Meditation is a great tool to help ease your way into a more mindful yoga practice as well as a more mindful life. It is important to take time to listen to your body and your mind, and give yourself what you need in order to be and feel your absolute best. 

I find that when I take time to slow down and meditate, I come out of it feeling much more relaxed, present, and with a clearer mind. I utilize the practice of meditation when I am stressed, on good days and bad days, when I need a couple minutes to reset, when my mind won't stop racing, when I can't sleep, or when I just need to take a couple minutes to slow down and listen to myself. The best thing about meditation is the versatility of it. I feel as though I am a better version of myself when I take time to meditate. Since I have started consistently meditating, I have found, personally, that my thoughts are more clear, I am less anxious and more present, and I enjoy every moment as it comes with a grateful heart, optimistic to learn and grow. 

Guided meditation is an excellent way to ease into meditation. I have included some of my favourites that I personally find myself utilizing time and time again. If you feel inclined to do so, I encourage you to try any of the ones I have included or some of your own!
